What? First Madigan resigns and now some Dems suddenly want to oppose Prickster after kissing his ass for the past year?
For quite some time I’ve felt like Illinois kind of has its own political mafia, apart from the deep state. Could be that the deep state is getting rid of these guys that aren’t progressive enough or not getting the job done (Pritzker’s Fair Tax failed), or it could actually be white hats pulling the strings. The fact that the FBI were the ones investing Madigan and Burke and all them makes me think the former is what is going on, but fingers crossed it’s the latter!
You'd think Prickster signing that bill that neutered the police would make them happy though. Perhaps with Madigan gone the rest are no longer intimidated by his puppet governor who "donated" several million to him to get a shot at the seat during the election.
Or who knows, like with Cuomo maybe this is another sign of white hat manipulation.
I forget if it was X22 but I've heard theories that we're seeing Deep State factions duking it out now.
I hate Pritzker, but for what it worth, the state had no policy on COVID pts going to nursing homes. Many hospitals would try to.send COVID pts to homes and the homes would have to decide. My wife works in nursing home and her place refused to take COVID pts from hospitals. The state did not force them to take the patients. I'm sure he fucked up some other stuff. He's a pig
Is there different regulations in this instance since this is not a 'normal" nursing home? This is a veterans home that would fall under federal regulations that would apply to The Veterans Affairs. I'm not sure.
I'm game for anyway to get him out of office. I hate how corrupt this state is! Only a hand full of blue counties control us.
Veteran and federal would not be under Pritzker regulations
Same, I never heard any nursing home stories here myself and most of the fraud was how our hospitals were in reality mostly empty based on info from my mom and what I've pulled via FOIA. Also he was always mentioning this "model" that he'd never show anyone that supposedly dictated his nonsensical mandates.
PritzkerOutNow.?
The cases in IL nursing homes are crazy high. I saw a list of "outbreaks" - meaning places with more than one case (SMDH). Most places had maybe a handful of cases, but the nursing homes had hundreds.
Yes. Because many nursing homes took COVID pts without fully prepared facilities and PPE was severely scarce and state failed to give any support. Nursing homes develop a relationship with nearby hospitals. Hospitals like to favor some vs others. However, there is competition. And many homes took pts to stay in the hospitals good graces. My wife place refused. COVID was introduced to her nursing home via an employee. I think they only lost 18 people to COVID, most of which were hospice anyway and ready to pass. Pritzker could have used mccormick place to stick covid pts, but he really did nothing except Fuck with our rights.
I always wondered why McCormick was set up and not used.
Going off memory here but wasnt one of the first places with patients dying outside of Washington a nursing home in Illinois?
