He's 100% haplogroup R1b, specifically R1b1a1b, which is Western European.

R1b is not necessarily European, but simply most common in W, NW, and Central Europe. It also occurs in Asia and Africa.

R-V1636 (R1b1a1b) is rare, but has been found in Bulgaria, among Arabs of the Arabian Peninsula, among an Arab from Turkey, a Tomsk Tatar, the Italian Province of Salerno, and an individual of unknown descent in Puerto Rico.
