Yes it would. Lots of things are physically, outwardly destroying our liberty, our ability to choose. Porn is the Goliath in the shadows that destroys ones freedom to choose as it is an addiction. It is designed to destroy your soul and your family and it will if not curtailed.
If we are addicted to drugs or alcohol we need help. Those things destroy or ability to choose once addicted. Same with porn. Many people want and need help and know not where to find it.
We talk here on this board about people, events, things that threaten and destroy our liberty. Porn is one of those things also so yes I really love your ideas here. People Need to know they are not alone and that they can break free if the chains of addiction
Sorry all I didn't really want to tell ya my business but if I didn't say and I didn't add that people thought I was loony for seeking recovery for weekend benders that were becoming detrimental I thought it could be withholding something that could help someone.
Ok I also replied to your first post and, I have some experience with addictions! I am reading Mike Lindell's book and in it he is addicted to crack, and when you read he tells you the justifications for his bad behavior in his head and it was the same thing I went through sorry was not porn, was another normalized addiction, binge drinking. Obviously best method is God and the Christians will help you get off Porn my local group does. However, there's loads lost right now and God is pretty far off. As for the dragging to public question: Helps I didn't realize at the time but you build yourself a negative support system you rationalize "I do this but at least it ain't that" but you do know something is not right. Shared testimonials: Helps if you walk through the door yourself. Forced intervention sadly does not help, didn't help Lindell either, you have to be ready on your own. I think this will work IF search algorithms do not block it. I can imagine someone with this problem logging on and finally one day searches "porn r" and your site comes up.
Instead of non-profit-style activism, I think it's best to look to the most successful recovery program out there - AlAnon. Their 12 steps have saved many. With dignity and pride and lots of prayer.
