I have a 6 yr old and he has been in speech therapy at school. He goes every day all day all year. Private Christian Trinity. Well we had conferences. She beleives Liam has Apraxia of speech. It's can never be cured per say. But it can be managed. I'm scared walking into untreaded territory.
I messaged the mods about this 3 days ago about where to post this to avoid a suspension. So if this needs deleted and replaced somewhere else please let me know and I'll move it. I never got a response from any of the mods so accept my apology if I posted in the wrong place.

My best friend's daughter has this. She's in 3rd Grade and is performing at grade level with every subject. She still has trouble speaking the right words sometimes, but performs at what we would consider a normal level verbally. She does still go to speech therapy and goes to tutoring because it will hamper the child's ability to perform "properly" in a traditional school setting, which by their metrics, will hold the child back, but she only has to go to speech therapy twice a week for about 45 min a session.
I've watched this little girl grow up her whole life. I watched her go from a barely speaking, shy and timid little girl, into a bright, spunky 8 yr old who is what the rest of us would consider normal.
My prayers are with you and your son, but with the work y'all are doing, he'll be ok.
