When Q says "trust X", that just means that we can trust X does what the Patriots expect. X can be whitehat or blackhat, doesn't matter. X could be blackmailed or otherwise forced by the whitehats, or X could be a blackhat doing blackhat stuff, that the Patriots have anticipated.

"Trust X" does not necessarily mean X is one of the good guys.
