Oh yeah, it is clearly, obviously, plainly, absolutely, positively, needless to say, without doubt, something wrong with the world today. I had stumbled across a vid taken in China - there were corpses laying on the floor and butchers were standing over them cutting strips of meat. I believe they intended selling this meat. This vid led to articles about human meat in McDonalds hamburger etc. Of course, they denied (even though small traces were found in hamburger meat). Wow, cannibalism, rituals, child torture/rape/murder, it really is a sick world we live in.
Then he (Satan) took him (Jesus) up and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a single instant.
The devil said to him,“I shall give to you all this power and glory; for it has been handed over to me, and I may give it to whomever I wish. All this will be yours, if you worship me.”
-Luke
Well look who is in charge of the Earthly kingdoms! Of course things are bad!
Oh, I agree.
I remember this story from over a decade ago. It was widely reported by the news services here. Apparently a perfectly preserved, late term fetus in encrusted in gold leaf can sell for up to $1 million USD in China. Most Thais, even Thai Chinese, find the practice revolting, but there are always those willing to do anything for luck. They also like to eat tiger penises and other odd things. Superstition is strong in this part of the world.
In the case referred to here, if memory serves, there was no indication any child was ever murdered. As I remember, police determined the fetuses were obtained from a hospital where nurses had sold the remains obtained from miscarriages.
It also turns out that the only crime actually committed was illegal disposal and transporting of human remains...a charge which carried a penalty of only 2000 baht, which is around $60 - $70 USD. With such a large payoff and such a tiny fine if you get caught, I assume that people are still involved in the practice.
The only saving grace is that there is a very small market for such things. It is not something that could ever be done in scale. It takes a particular kind of sick to think this brings luck.
Still working on my report. Life gets in the way, as you all know.
Here's a quick article I thought demonstrated exactly what they really value.
Could someone archive this?

IIRC a place the elites use in Thailand is called the "Golden hotel/Palace" which is apparently full of this sort of sick stuff and where they go for their sick kicks.
PS There is a good chance I have the title wrong, but remembering a dig I went on and fairly sure the name is near correct. It was evil.
I wonder if this has anything to do with them forcing people to eat gold so it congregate in parts of their body to be eaten later.
