I am fairly God believing now, but I have no idea how it's possible to reconcile that sort of age when we have no one in the modern world even a 6th of that age.
Before the flood there was a firmament around the planet, protecting it from UV and also making the oxygen much more dense. No UV means little or no genetic mutations(loss of genetic info). Also, look at how quickly athletes heal in oxygen tanks, and imagine the whole world like that. Pre-flood world is almost unimaginable. To think about how abundant life was, imagine all of today's oil and coal coming from plants and animals killed during the flood.
The oxygen density is particularly interesting. Just breathing would be pleasurable. Fauna would be huge. Another interesting bit is that lizards never stop growing. We have giant lizards at 100s of years, if they were allowed to go to 1000 you'd have something akin to a dinosaur.
Doesn’t mean it wasn’t so, the Bible gives a long list of very long-lived people. There’s plenty of things we haven’t personally witnessed in our age, but that doesn’t mean they didn’t happen.
Back when Bill Cosby was still known for funny and mostly-wholesome stand-up comedy, and not the later ghastly stuff that put him in jail, he had a funny bit about Noah and the Ark.
<voopah>, <voopah>, <voopah>, <DING!!> still cracks me up...
969, oldest man in the Bible. Yet he died before his father.
How? His dad was Enoch, who was raptured!
Also, Methuselah means "His death shall bring" and the year he died is when the flood started. Enoch may have been given a prophecy of the flood in order to name his son that.
Actually much much longer than that. Methuselah was I believe 938.

With God anything is possible. Sin has changed the world since creation.

I tend to agree here. Interpretation problem. There are many interpretations of cubit. Some accepted, some not by moderners

"Yeah, right. What's a cubit?" Kek!
This article shows how easily the earth could be millennia younger than traditional thought. https://earthage.org/scientific-evidence-for-a-worldwide-flood/
