To whom it may concern:
After I'm gone to my heavenly home, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES "BRING ME BACK FROM THE DEAD." I'll be done with this world and wish to live in the presence of the Lord forever.
That struck me as well. Beyond that, who thinks that a perpetual computer simulation of themselves would be interesting to anyone after their death? Egomaniacs.
If anyone hasn't played Soma; they should. There's way too much that cloud go wrong with this. You can't reanimate the soul. That's eternally a God thing through Jesus Christ. No other way can a soul be saved.
Soma shows in horror fashion a good theory as to how this will ACTUALLY play out.
Ecclesiastes 12:7
7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
Not that the post isn't hilarious that we foolish humans wanna play God. Up vote for the find.
But fellow Christians and non believer alike. Know this:
There is no resurrection apart from the will Of God in Jesus Christ. A man's soul is not in his own hands.
". . ., Think about the end of your life and what might happen next. There are two possible outcomes: If your soul exists, you continue on after death and everything is wonderful. And if it doesn’t and your fate is utter demise, well, some part of you could still continue infinitely as a digital copy. “It’s a win-win situation in both scenarios,” Turchin says."
No! A digital "life" simulation(/abomination) without a soul/consciousness wouldn't be "me" and wouldn't be "life".
Imagine these "researchers" spending their time and talent on this. How utterly sad and pathetic.
"A Dyson Sphere Could Bring Humans Back From the Dead."
... and if that fails, when you're cremated, a Dyson vacuum can clean up and store your ashes. :>)
Comment of the day there, thanks Pede.

So it won’t be me, it will be a computer simulation designed to be as close to me as possible

May God bless all of you in Jesus name, Amen.
ever since 9/11 popular science/mechanics has been trash.
i used to love their mags. until the day they debunked. i was done at that point. used to get subscriptions for my Bday.
hard for me to pray for people who so throughly reject the Father's Plan.
So we are living in the post data collection simulation at the moment is what they are telling us.
