Originally things like fast food for geared for teenagers in high school or college to earn spending money. Because their wages were low, the price of fast food was low and hence the concept of fast food. If someone wants high quality food then they need to go to a fancier restaurant.
Back in 1994,1995 when I was 16, I worked at Burger King while in high school for $4.25 per hour. 25 years later little bitch babies cry wanting $15 per hour. When I was older, I ended up building knowledge, experience, etc to obtain high paying jobs.
I don't want my burger doubling in price because some people are too lazy to put in the work to find a better job. I can say for a fact that it's laziness, pure laziness.
If someone applies for jobs online and in person if there even any in person applications anymore but either way, after applying for a job then you go to these places in person.
When you go in person you ask to speak to a manager and if they are not there or busy then you try again until you get to speak to that manager and then you make your pitch for a job and if they have any and why they should hire you for said job.
We are in technology based modern times but managers still are more likely to hire someone that talks to them in person rather than someone that applies online and just waits for a call that never happens. Those that put forth the effort get the better jobs.
Society as a whole has gotten lazy because of TVs, phones, computers, etc. Instead of sitting at home, go in person to as many places as possible until a better job is gotten.
I say society has gotten lazy because it's not just about jobs, it's about other things in life too. If people talk about protesting something, they should gather every single day, 7 days a week until they are heard.
Most definitely this would suck by not having that free time to relax at home but did MLK create change by sitting at home? When people protest the government on like 1 Saturday each month, the government doesn't give a fuck. They know those people will go back home and do nothing because that is how they've lived their lives.
DJT didn't get where he got in life by being lazy. He certainly didn't get there by sitting at home on the couch. It's not just jobs, it's so many things. With jobs though, sure you might get a better job and end up hating it or losing the job but you will not know without putting in the effort.
Fast food never was intended to be a career job. People need to get off their fucking lazy asses and seek better jobs if their current is not enough.
That is the answer right there. Nothing more needs to be said.
