My grandmother had 3 of the 4 stroke signs when my mother called the doctor at about 7pm at night. The doctor said, "Have her take some Tylenol and call me in the morning" (seriously, those were pretty much the exact words!). Well, by the morning, the stroke had done it's business, and my grandmother was placed in a "long-term care" facility, where her remaining net worth was drained before she died about a year later. Turned out the doctor was on the board of directors, or possibly just a share-holder, maybe both, of the facility. Of course this is at a minimum a conflict of interest, but I believe blatantly criminal. Florida laws were changed decades ago so that medical malpractice lawsuits are meaningless if the patient is over 70. It's totally disgusting what the doctors and lawyers have done in FL!
