Racism was redefined a few years ago (2017 I think) to encompass a broader range of activities. (New definitions from Meriam-Webster)

a) the systemic oppression of a racial group to the social, economic, and political advantage of another b) a political or social system founded on racism and designed to execute its principles

This is such a broad definition pretty much all of human activity can fall into it if you spin it right. Its very convenient to own the dictionary companies and the spin doctors when trying to enact your evil plan to take over the world.
