Perhaps since Trump was instrumental in getting the vaccines developed, he would seem pretty foolish to say "no, don't get it!". Other posters have also suggested that him saying that people should get it is a way to deflect from the media's propaganda regarding "Trump supporters do whatever he says", since it is obvious that many, perhaps a majority, of Trump supporters won't get the vaccination.
