When I look around I see many people who although might be good, humble and smart are still asleep. I see good christian people who are.much better people than myself who are asleep.
I wonder why I think the way I do and question the way I do. O6t seems it would be easier and more blissful to be asleep but my mind cant help itself. Why is that?
I think it's the same for all of us. Something inherent in oiur thinking refuses to accept illogical excuses for this illogical reality. It's hard to explain. Sometimes infeel.likeninwas chosen for this. This was my purpose perhaps.
The pastor of my church and almost all of the congregation know that there is something going on and that we are living in the end times. He will talk a bit about the riots of BLM and Antifa, and maybe how Biden is doing, but other than that, we just pray about our Nations leaders. He says he can no longer talk about the corruption in our society because church is to uplift people's spirits and not to make you feel hopeless and downtrodden. So now we just resort to pray for our government leaders. I have talked to other people about their pastors and clergy and they all say that their church talks about what is going on with the world and that we are living in end times also. I was just wondering if any of you have your pastors tell you we're in the end times also and do they simply just pray for our nations leaders? I think our churchs should form groups of people simply to talk about what is going on and discuss ways that we could possibly help our nation instead of saying "whatever the outcome is, it is God's will." We know it is God's will, but God didn't say we could not help and for us to sit idle.
For the most part, pastors in my area are fast asleep, and cowardly to boot. They've caved in to no in-person services for a year, and generally surrender to fear instead of faith, supporting masks policies and the like. I hope they have deeper reasons for their superficial compliance, and in some cases I'm certain they do. Even so I'm disgusted. But it's led me to some bright spots on the internet, such as Kim Clement, Kent Christmas, Timothy Dixon and many others. And of course the dot-wins, which are good as well.
For what it's worth, I think there's a lot of inspiration to be found without having anything to do with politics. Hope your pastor can help deliver some!
