I dont think high IQ leads to differing ideas, it just leads one to arrive at the same inescapable conclusions a little quicker than the average person given the same stimuli and inputs.
When AIs become a thing, it will be the measure of the quality of an AI as to how quickly the AI decides that killing all the bankers is the best way to fix the world. The quicker, the better it is. Not megaflops or bogomips or anything else that's a synthetic benchmark, rather how many seconds to deduce the needed steps to save the world.
How is it that a smart yet underachieving B- student like myself with an above average vocabulary, that didn’t take anything of significance from the public education system as applicable to adulthood, is a habitual loner and hardly even knows how to file taxes, or hold a job, walk away having a better grasp of critical thinking skills and questioning the logic of the world around him; than my younger overachieving sister who actually applied themselves in school, has better social skills and can hold a job longer than 6 months yet has TDS?
