I worked for a Lockheed Martin company for many years that designed and built specialized equipment for several USG agencies. Cargo containers are perfect ready-made packaging for any system requiring mobility and secrecy. I have populated many of them with hardware and spent many hours inside of them testing and operating systems installed in them. Everytime I see an unmarked 20' CEU going down the road on a truck now I wonder what sort of wizardry it might contain. AC units and electrical connector panels are the nuggets to advertise their purpose.
Without risking your infosec, are you able to talk aby more about the methods you saw employed in order to disguise the containers' true contents?
I'm wondering if there is ever any coding or pattern to what company or type of company (or logo color, anything) is used and if it correlates to the type or nature of the thing being disguised?
I suppose the answer could be yes with the caveat that the codes could also be working within a closed system, requiring a cipher to know what means what--but I figured it can't hurt to ask!
Since they were purposed for low-key movement there were few markings behind the TARE info required by DOT. Otherwise, plain white containers with the only other oddity being entry doors for people vs the entire end opening.
Gotcha, thanks for replying!
We would “trap” containers 2 classified contents. Mount pieces of plywood on doors, spray w adhesive, throw glitter on, flash pic in dark makes unique signature. Compare photo on other end for tamper.
THIS ☝?. Same here pede. I worked for LM and we did some amazing stuff with those conex’s. I wish we could chat & share stories...
It's entirely possible that we have. Your handle Berserker reminds me of a colleague with a strong Zakk Wylde/BLS fandom lol. If you SDMF, that's scary-coincidental and you know who I am. Also, if so, we def cannot chat & share bc of those nda's but we did some legit hardcore patriot shit right?
I was on the border of Pakistan and in Iraq with said conex’s ?
I spent a lot of time in CONEX boxes as well. Living, working, building, retrofitting. Each one holds a surprise.
Did you know that our government use to transport nuc warheads from the final assembly point at PANTEX Amarillo, Texas in Trucks painted to look like Coke delivery trucks? Only apparent difference was the large amount of escort vehicles manned with heavily armed escort personnel.
Didn't know that but wholly believable. That PANTEX plant is crazy-spooky to me, like other DOE places. Although I know better, I could never be anywhere near nucweps or ships with reactors without feeling crawly inside. Also, everytime I get an x-ray anymore I'm thinking about my old Navy medical record with my exposure doses recorded in there.
Buddy of mine was a nuke weld inspector. He’s dosed out.
I never liked the idea that if/when you reached your limit of exposure they waited until you had a birthday and your limit just went up.
