Thanks for posting. Most say it's a larp, but it's in the unknown category still for me (and I know both sides of the story). EBS and FL message was interesting, to me out of most of this.
I find their history very intriguing, and the many interchanges between them and Bards lend significant credibility in my opinion. It seems clear that Bards (Scott Kesterson) knows them personally, and in the 1/18 chat, he said he "needs to tell the story sometime." THAT sounds interesting. The fact that both are/have been involved in filming for the gov't/military adds to the confirmation of one another's legitimacy. In reviewing GN's YT chats as well as their old Anonymous Charity twitter (what is still available in the archives) and videos, there are clear "path crossings" with other significant members of the movement, also. If you haven't had a chance yet to read all the compiled chats (check EchoLight's index, above), I highly recommend it to anyone interested in how GN may fit into the big picture.
You sound knowledgeable about the situation, do you have an opinion on the accusation that their "original" military photos are not original? Part of that drama also included their merchandise being from China. I had an order pending with them at that time and it went to a print shop in Pennsylvania. I had cancelled my order with them and I still feel like an asshole because of it.
I've been following them (and the ensuing drama) since about mid-January, shortly after they really came on the scene with the late night chats, etc. As with anything, do your own research and come to your own conclusions, but there is substantial evidence that their original military photos are, in fact, original and they work in conjunction with the DVIDS team who they were accused of "stealing" content from. Now, as things have continued to unfold, there seem to be even more layers of this. u/EchoLight sent an email to the DVIDS team to ask about their association with GeorgeNews and their thoughts on GN's use of the content (you can likely do some digging and still find EchoLight's report to us here about what he learned--in fact, just search his posts for everything related to his research into GN). DVIDS said that GN is not associated with them but did not seem at all concerned about their use of the content (it is evidently in the public domain anyway). BUT, we have since learned from GN that the individuals on the GeorgeNews team are primarily known in their individual capacity professionally, NOT as "GeorgeNews". Only a relatively few people know who is actually behind GN. So, essentially, the individuals from GeorgeNews who took the pictures and work in conjunction with DVIDS would have been known to DVIDS, but NOT by the name "GeorgeNews". Does that make sense? They have also posted screen shots of their press credentials for various events, etc, and many other details that cause a number of us to continue believing they are legit. Again, do your own digging--there is quite a bit of info here on GAW, and EchoLight's chat compilations--read them all and in order--really are required reading to hear what GN has to say about themselves and about various events taking place. If you follow BardsFM, the interchanges between the two of them on the YT chats and Scott's positive comments about GN on his shows are pretty significant, IMHO.
As for their merchandise--the order comes from a print shop in PA, and I have really liked the stuff I got from them (I like the "God Wins" product line). At least some (not sure about all) of the blank items do seem to come from China originally and then the print shop in PA prints and ships the final order. Any claims that their orders are printed and shipped from China is fake news, if that accusation was going around.
I hope that helps! There are still lots of questions about who is behind GN and how they fit into the big picture, but if they are paytriots, they're really bad at it (since they're always telling people that they are self-funded and will NEVER ask for money, etc), and if they're LARPs, they're the best I've ever seen. There is just a quiet confidence about the way they present their information--they don't go into a lot of speculation about what is or may be happening (like most of the podcasters/influencers do--not saying it's wrong to do, but GN comes across differently), and they also never make wild, unverifiable claims of things that are supposedly happening (like some others do--everyone's in a mask, or dead/CGI/doubles, etc, etc). The things they DO state as fact, there's just a sense that they are truly in a position to KNOW, not guess. Time will tell, and it's always technically possible that they're not legit, but from all I've looked into, I believe they have a real and significant role in what's going on behind the scenes, and I believe we will eventually find out what that is.
I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to respond with all of that info. That clears some things up and I will look into it more. I sporadically listen to BardsFM and I must have just never landed on an episode where he discusses GeorgeNews. GN does comes across differently. I surprised myself with how heartbroken I got when I believed they were a LARP, since I haven't had that kind of reaction to any other public figure. The "God Wins" merch is what I liked too.
I'm glad it was helpful. When I started hearing the "bad news" about GeorgeNews, it just didn't sit right with how they came across to me (as authentic), so I kept digging and continue to be more convinced. As for Bards, he has so many shows that I can't begin to keep up (even though I really like them), so he may have mentioned GN more times than I've heard, but the first I heard was around the same time they were talking together on the GN chat (so, roughly 1/18, and I think it was his last show of the day), IIRC. I've heard Scott mention GN again probably two weeks ago, or so, and it was probably a Spiff report that time. Both times his comments have been very positive, saying they're great guys, go follow them on telegram/Youtube, etc. I hope he DOES eventually share the story he alluded to in one of the chats (and I hope I haven't already missed it and don't know what show it was in). The fact that they clearly seem to know one another professionally and both have worked in military photography seems like a lead worth looking into. Incidentally, if you've never listened to Bards' episode #64, see if you can find it. He shares his own story there, and it is well worth the listen.
I can understand the feeling you're expressing. It felt like a serious accusation being leveled against a friend by that point, and I just didn't see that there was adequate evidence to completely believe all that yet. Perhaps keep the guard up and pay attention a little closer for any other red flags, but it never felt like both sides of the story were analyzed equally--and anyone trying to share the pro-GN side was immediately dismissed and labeled a shill. Not a good way to really get to the bottom of the issue. My opinion: do some research (including all the chat compilations, etc), and then go put in another order for "God Wins" stuff. ? Personally, I don't care WHO is selling it--I like the message. The fact that I also like GN is just the cherry on top.
Excellent work, as always. Thank you for all the effort you put into this project.

If Evspra were still here he would take this down in a minute
