Straight to his face.
We actually have a really great relationship. The rest of the office is totally brainwashed about vaccines and other leftist bullshit, so I'm the only one who is openly refusing to get vaccinated. He came to my desk to tell me about how Walgreens is offering vaccines to basically anyone and I said "that's great news for people who want the vaccine." He asked me would I really not get it? "Nope." Why? "Because I don't like it, I don't think it's necessary, it's an experimental injection and not even technically a vaccine, I believe in my immune system and I don't like how it's been socially engineered and forced upon the public. I don't like it."
He was silent.
I continued with "and so if you decide vaccines are mandatory, I'll be working from home." He said, "well, if vaccination was mandatory and you refused, you'd have to find another job." I said, "yep."
"You'd find another job?"
"Yes, I would." I was on my way to deliver something to one of my interns on the other side of the office, so that's where the conversation ended.
HIPAA does not apply. It only applies to "covered entities," which are health insurance companies, health care providers, and the government.
https://www.cdc.gov/phlp/publications/topic/hipaa.html
However, mandating a medical procedure -- especially one that is not proven -- for the purpose of a claim that is based on fraud (that it will protect someone), and making that a condition of employment is most certainly fraud and a violation of liberty.
CDC has no enforcement. states make their own laws and most prevent asking g certain thing
Your employer, perhaps not in all states this is not legal advise, cant ask you your prescription etc.they tried at the railroad we got very union and those bosses got ahitcanned very fast.
Yeah he’s the owner
HIPAA is more governing how your info is handled by health care practitioners.
It is truly hilarious. I work in attorney office and I have to send a signed HIPPA form to get our client's billing from a facility or even talk about it on the phone, but now anyone can ask you if you have taken a vaccine and to show them papers. This is completely irrational.
That's because HIPAA applies to "covered entites," which is any health care provider or health insurance company or Medicare. They are covered by it, and cannot release info without authorization.
The fine for violation is $250,000. Read HIPAA.
Nope, it's enforceable for managment in any company. You can not divulge or ask certain things.
No, HIPAA does not cover that. Other laws, especially state laws, might apply, but not HIPAA.
You need to read it. I did.
hippaa only seems to matter when its needed to protect the doctor/hospital.
Hospital gave away info about my kids to a group of child molesters. Made multiple hippaa complaints about it and the response letters ive gotten amount to "we don't care"
The covid got it
Jobs can require you to get vaccines. Although I doubt that extends to experimental ones.
I don't believe they can, especially when it is based on fraud.
The problem is, this area of law has not been litigated much because the country has not been this insane before.
There will need to be litigation to settle the law.
