Edit: I see the pic says 'Updated 2021' on the bottom. Why would they update it just to block it out. I guess the logical question here is was it blacked out in the older version too or was it a new development?
There might have been sensitive military traffic at the moment that particular area was photographed. You do know that it's not a real time image, don't you? It might be a number of years old.

Scroll up the canal until you notice the spot where you can see half a boat.

I don't think that that is real time. Otherwise we would see the thousands of other ships that are jammed before and after the canal. Right?
