It's a youtube trick to increase comment engagement. See the evangelion video wisecrack did. Before the internet sure you might have pronounced shit all weird due to local habits from your community who isn't exposed to foreign shit, but in current year it's an obvious intentional thing. Say it wrong for however long the video is and watch your comment count increase from all the smooth brains that wanna dunk on the content creator.
I would think that plausible for sure - I know RP78 does that a lot, but always says he is going to - if both of them weren't already past kings of mispronunciation. Always thought it was kinda funny. Like if you see something a lot but you never hear it spoken so you don't know HOW to say it.
The TruReporting guy is another fun one for mispronunciations. Not critical words that trigger algos - just all kinds of things. We have actually taken to calling Myanmar "Minny-mar" because it gives us a giggle
That reminds me of LT at AndWeKnow, who calls it Minny-mar and Dave at X22 who calls it (IIRC) Myna-mar. XD
Kinda funny how neither of them can say it right, but I keep hearing "mirror"
They can say it right they purposely redo specific words that would cause them to get shut down.
Possibly and many do, but these 2, and I love them both, are notorious for mispronunciations.

This is probably why Scott Kesterson of BardsFM pronounces it "My-nar."
