There was not a single GOP candidate in the last mayoral race for Salt Lake City. Listening to the remaining candidates debate was like a contest between the Bolsheviks and the Mensheviks.
The woman who won is a Gender Studies major.
The woman who ALMOST won came within a hair of saying the COVID virus is "racist." She claims that Hispanics were disproportionately effected by COVID. She wants a "green new deal" for Utah.
I pray to God they won't. I am surprised that I wear My Trump hat and most people whisper to me they love my hat. I have stickers on my car that says The Storm is Qoming . No one has done anything to my car. Oh wow, I am praying hard for President Trump to come back. I bet in Salt Lake City you see more things then I do here in Ogden
I have the personality of fingernails scraped across a chalkboard. I am no good at law, am not able to read and rapidly comprehend legislation, am not a people person (very introverted), and have no clue as to how to solve our housing problem, other than rolling back lending standards to about what they were in 1970. I wish Trump had addressed this more aggressively because affordable housing for those with low incomes is a problem everywhere. SLC gives a lot of lip service to affordable housing then continues permitting luxury condo complexes.
Trust me, I would not be a good pol. My skill might lie more in digging through digital newspaper archives and researching people and issues.
So many of these Utahns here are proudly getting the vaccine though. So disheartening ? I wouldn’t have been surprised if Cox made us have the COVID Vax passports

Posts in FB claim he is very aligned with the Democrats and is even encouraging them to register as Republican so they can vote in the GOP primary. I haven't verified the veracity of that.
I do have my regrets about moving here but I am afraid we're stuck now. My husband and I have lost all our social outlets, partly due to the pandemic and partly due to the state steadily sliding towards the communists / leftists. I spent time last summer scraping their posters off public utility poles. They are taking over incrementally, without firing a single shot.

We said this when Romney got elected. What happened? They voted in Cox. RINO after RINO.

Was pleasantly surprised that he signed Constitutional Carry aka no permit needed for 21 and older.
