But why!?

How would the traffickers even know they delivered the children successfully to pay these smugglers?

Who is paying them to just drop kids in the US and leave them there?

The only intent would be to make sure the Government picks them up.

Would that mean the Government is the one paying them? Sure looks like it.

The children are also used to distract BP agents while other contraband crosses the border. You can't stop fentanyl/meth while you are chasing toddlers.
