What are the capablilites and military implications for the new 5th Generation satellites created by billions in space force which we own about 75% of as a country. Trump was able to build that agency up and could very possibly be in contact with them through their new telecommunications pathway they can shut down. CogCon I believe was in effect at some point and part of their initial procedure is establishing secure telecommunications(Trump was anticipating being shut down by big tech). Can internet and cellular be cut off? Do they have the ability to knock out electrical grids in some countries?

The OP and other posts that have been exchanged with LiberalTearFeind today have been asking the question of whether or not Starlink can recreate the entire US internet in the case of a network shutdown attack, with or without a blackout. It has also been asked if Starlink can completely takeover our network. My response was about what infrastructure would be required to do that, and what Starlink is capable of under the conditions of the questions.
I doubt very much there are the appropriate receivers at EVERY hub, and I doubt very much there is an entire backup electrical grid through the US. Obviously Starlink has SOME receivers, probably plenty, but almost certainly not enough to provide 100% (or even 10%) coverage if our internet network was taken down.
you need a minimum of an up/downlink at each of the INX nodes (Internet Exchange Peering Hubs) the remaining routing is done terrestrially.
There is also the delay in signal that occurs at the up/down links so I agree that the satellites can't replace the earth based services because the timing delays inherent in satellite communications.
Sure but, wouldn't an attack on our internet be on exactly those places?
yes, the up/down links are the weak attack vector, and being RF (Radio Frequencies) they are easily jammed.
