It's a fair question. One way to find assurance is to pray sincerely, asking God for guidance and truth. Additionally, we know the bible has remained essentially intact because carbon dated scrolls found in the 1940s match the ancient texts, as well as current. If you'd like details about this, there is a plethora of information online.
I'm sorry. I should have specified. I am referring to The Dead Sea Scrolls, famously found in caves in Qumran, having been abandoned there hundreds of years prior. Just do a search for the Dead Sea Scrolls. Also, you could search for something like, "How do we know the bible hasn't changed over time?" The key is finding a trustworthy site that tells it like it is.
But since you are showing interest, my very best recommendation to you is to pray a simple prayer like this. Do it from the heart and do it in all sincerity. "God, I don't know if You exist. But I would like to know the truth. God, if you do exist, please reveal Yourself to me." Honestly, it's as simple as that. As long as you are sincere, and are not praying in a flippant, mocking tone, just praying as someone who is truly seeking God, seeking truth, you will get your answer. Guaranteed. Good luck, my friend and feel free to DM me any time with questions.
I know the subject of how to prove the accuracy and historicity of the bible is covered in this video. I'm sorry, I don't know the exact time stamp, but I would say this is a great video and it's all about answers such as the one you asked. I would say it's worth your time to watch, even if you have to do it bit by bit.
There is a great deal of written material on that very question. Most English bibles have a lengthy introduction where the provenance is discussed, as well as the translation perspective. I prefer the original KJV, but probably the most important thing is to supplement anything and everything you read with prayer and meditation, to go to Him, the direct unwritten source. Saul of Tarsus studied everything written and read the text well, but knew nothing correctly until he got his divine fact-check. Any of us mortals can easily misinterpret, but a living relationship with God will bring you back on course.
Well what they included in the Bible matches up but the problem most was left out so it is probably out of context. I believe all 60 Canon are in a Vatican vault and can not be seen.
I wonder that too sometimes, so lately I've been focusing on the hypothetical Q Source/Sayings Gospel of Jesus.
Jesus obviously has a lot of enemies, people who don't want us to know the truth.
the Q Source is the common material between Matthew and Luke, but not in Mark.
Matthew and Luke were written at different times/places, so I think the 'coincidences' are really important; like the main idea of Jesus.
It also prohibits any tampering of the message, since it's found twice. seems like a code to me;)
also interesting that Biblical scholars names it Q, which is short for Quelle which means 'source' in German.
since it's hypothetical, there are slight variations depending on the editor/translation used, but they all contain the same 'basic' teachings of Jesus. it has helped me tremendously to understand what he wanted us to know;
we're children of God, and he knows everything that we need, etc.
It's helpful to take into consideration that the different gospels were aimed at different groups. Matthew, for instance, was aimed at the Jews and makes numerous references to Jewish customs, 'the law,' and Jesus' geneology. Those things were important to Jews and Matthew wanted to make sure any questions they might have (like if Jesus was a true Jew, and which tribe He was from, etc.) were answered. He wanted them to see that Jesus WAS the Messiah they had been waiting for and had fulfilled the various prophecies.
I belive the earliest writing about Jesus is from year 70. There are no mentions at all about Jesus while he was alive. Also most writing about Jesus were from a Guy who never met him. I don’t remember the details, I watched a really good documentary on the subject, but I can’t remember the title. A bit funny too, or at least they tried to make it entertaining.
That's not true. At least 3 historians of the day wrote about Him, during His time and shortly after. And two of the gospels were written by His disciples.
If you can provade proof of those three historians many would be interested. The first writing are from Paul 25 years after his death. If I remeber correctly he never met Jesus.
I’d say that that chance is pretty slim... that’s where common sense and discernment should kick in? Cognitive dissonance is real though n these are unprecedented crazy daze in our history??
Its naive to think that the "cabal/DS/Illuminati" hasn't infiltrated religion just as much as they have politics or the world in general. Look at the vatican and all the catholic priests that have been caught with alter boys. Why is it hard to at least ponder that other sects of christianity haven't also been corrupted?
You're referring to a denomination. Yes, the Catholic church has been infiltrated and compromised at the highest levels. But that doesn't mean the actual faith or bible has ever changed.
That's not faith, lol. And yes, many, many, thousands of people did see Him do 'attesting miracles' and believed. But our faith is different because we are not 'eye witnesses' to Him. However, we still believe because we sought Him and found Him and had an experience with Him that convinced us He is real.
Yes, I will DM you. If you ask any true-believing Christians (and I make that point about 'true-believing' because as you know, even churches have been infiltrated and there are many people who go to church for all sorts of reasons; to make business contacts, etc. but who aren't truly believers) -- if you ask any actual, true Christian, they will explain that everybody who is a Christian has a 'testimony.' This is the story of how they became a Christian. And each is as individual as the person, themselves. Some have very dramatic testimonies, others less so. The point is, it's their personal story about their journey and how they came to know God. I'll share mine in DM.

imo-Jah would never allow his inspired words to be TOTALLY corrupted
the whole bible is necessary for ppl to be able to identify the messiah n see Gen 3.14,15 fulfilled
tho this isn't to say there wasn't some alterations he allowed, but i believe the true msg can still be found in tact

Christ left a Church not a book. The Church created the Bible to spread the faith.

Josephus, for one. But you need to satisfy yourself, so do your own search.
That was 60 years after Jesus died. I did my research, did you?

The bible has been changed multiple times. That's why there are different versions. Not only that, it was written by MEN not god or jesus
Lol.
I’m totally onboard. Politics n religion are totally intertwined. The Constitution, I believe, is Divinely inspired.
