Wow : I thought it was photo shopped at first glance as I knew our country would not light up a cross , esp not three .. I’m glad to know our country once did this , so sad that I’m reminded how far away from any moral compass we’ve become . I wonder what year they stopped this . . God bless you everyone
the common name of the spot where Jesus was crucified. It is interpreted by the evangelists as meaning "the place of a skull" ( Matthew 27:33 ; Mark 15:22 ; John 19:17 ). This name represents in Greek letters the Aramaic word Gulgaltha, which is the Hebrew Gulgoleth ( Numbers 1:2 ; 1 Chronicles 23:3 1 Chronicles 23:24 ; 2 Kings 9:35 ), meaning "a skull." It is identical with the word Calvary (q.v.). It was a little knoll rounded like a bare skull. It is obvious from the evangelists that it was some well-known spot outside the gate (Compare Hebrews 13:12 ), and near the city ( Luke 23:26 ), containing a "garden" ( John 19:41 ), and on a thoroughfare leading into the country.
Too bad such evil has taken over since then 1956...
ya NYC was so pure and peaceful up until the early 1950's : D

Referencing this photo circa 1956 (~1956) brings us to Q post 1956. It reads as follows:
It's always been out in the open. You just have to LOOK. You MUST stay TOGETHER. TOGETHER YOU ARE STRONG. Symbolism = END. Q
Sigh. I remember when our paper would have a "He is Risen" story on the front page.
To get three buildings to agree to the three crosses for Jesus and the two others that were crucified that day is wonderful.
