No idea if it's true and at first I would have laughed it off as bullshit...but using shipping containers for human trafficking actually makes a helluva lot of sense.
If you were a trafficker would YOU want to try and drag a group of unrelated kids through O'Hare, Heathrow, or LAX? What is the riskiest part of trafficking? Someone seeing something suspicious and alerting security of LEA. All it takes is for one kid to start crying or pitching a fit and running off before security starts asking questions.
Be much easier to rent warehouse space in some port city as a holding facility. Pay couriers to deliver "merchandise" to said location and load up a container. Put some essentials in, pay off the shipping company to not ask questions, and have container delivered to warehouse on the side.
That is a reasoned response. It fits with some of the stories from people who have escaped. This is why I am questioning the narrative because it sounds plausible. However, there is no factual information available.
I don't know why people still cite CNN and Bloomberg on this site, but then call alternative sites as fake news. Are there any legit news sites? I'd trust Before It's News (weird alien baby stories and all) over CNN (and it's weird Xer stories).
Besides, we know traffickers use these container ships to transport their cargo. It's been caught in the past on other ships. The Dutch news had a big scandal about it a few years ago when they happen to find one with a house of horrors inside.
We already KNOW traffickers use these containers so it's highly likely they had some "cargo" on this tanker. It's very possible.
It's nice to see a pede like yourself on the right track and using logic instead of this "absolute proof" crap. Too many don't use logic and won't believe anything that doesn't come with absolute proof (you'll never get that). Sometimes all you have is logic and probability.
I watched a mini-series over the weekend starring Donald Sutherland called Human Trafficking (2005) and it contained a scene of this very thing and to combat the kids crying/screaming tranquilizers were used.
I believe it does happen.

Art In embassies. This is just a part Or one apiece of how and who. Many different players with different methods. Worth the watch.
