Look unless you have lived in Oregon there is no way you can understand that certain groups there are actually a completely different culture. So there are normal American towns that have your normal sort of ideas and then there are the liberal strongholds and those people are not the same as the rest of us. Their ideas are very sort of granola maybe some socialism mixed in, and not all of those ideas are bad some good environmental choices, but what is most noticeable is the way they are sort of forced into every conversation you are having. They definitely want to tell other how to live. Like imagine if every conversation you had was with a pushy vegan but it's a different liberal topic every time and that was my experience.

^^^^Yup, I'm moving to a small ranching town in two weeks. Jordan Valley Oregon is about as western as it gets.
That sounds really nice. I think it's unfortunate that your governor is over the whole state though it definitely is a state of two minds.
^^^Totally agree. Sitting on the Idaho border sure helps. Not much in town shopping and such is all in Idaho.
Eastern WA and Eastern OR need to form their own state.
