Yup, just like the transgender agenda. Not about "compassion", rather, compliance.

Example: Canadian father facing 5 years of jail time, for trying to prevent his teenage daughter from "transitioning" & refusing to use her preferred pronouns (he/him). For comparison, convicted rapists receive only 2 years of jail time.
