Going to try and make a long story somewhat short.
Had kid in Bexar county hospital.
Only building to get birth certificate for kid was the city of San Antonio city clerks office.
Security guard said I had to have mask on in building.
Told him to call the boys in blue because “not on my worst day”
City workers tried to not do business and held up all people from entering after me.
They held everyone up and even messed with the lady In front of me to by time for the police to show up .
I maintained composure the whole time.
Once the police arrived I was nice and went outside to discuss.
I asked to be serviced outside they said they didn’t want to do business with me.
I asked to have official paperwork of being told to leave and are trespassed by the city clerk.
I got what I wanted (that nut - unforgivable)
They processed my request.
Continued to press for the law and it is a city manager ( appointed official’s ) rules
Will follow up with the city attorneys.
My thought is it’s my building (my taxes) and they have to do official business with me, no law stating a mask is necessary.
Please let me know what y’all would go with it next. I’m ok pressing the city in court pro se just don’t know how I would go about it yet.
You make me proud!
Ty means alot would have been nice to see other Patriots in the wild but online will do thanks.
If one person did this every day it would be over in a month.
Went to my usual — 5-6 years Liberty Tax office to do taxes— they immediately donned masks when I entered “ mask less “ and I said “ do I have to have a mask? They said they’d prefer it - I said can I drop this off — cause “I don’t do masks “ — no problem after a 15 mile one way drive— I made my point with mom/ pop franchise - May source based for next year
I thought the mask mandate was gone in TX, am I missing something?
Rules don't matter. Points made up.
Depends who you are where you are and how the people around you feel that day. It's nuts.
Masks, distancing etc are completely arbitrary and hence capricious. They cannot prove a person not wearing a mask is doing anyone harm.
I like it! You've taken it farther than I would've... I wouldn't have bothered trying to obtain the birth certificate in person in the first place. There's no urgent reason to get it as far as I know. But good for you!
There is. FMLA requires it in a very timely manner.
Hmm! Well, I just learned something. Back some 20+ years ago when my kids were born in CA, the hospital was able to issue the BC. And nobody ever asked for it until they had to go to school years later. Godspeed on taking the hot air out of the government employees' puffery!
