I want to change my answer. Ask horns if "she" would be afraid to identify as as cis straight white male. Ask if they would have any fear about that. Likely will tell you something like "not afraid but I wouldn't want to identify as that" ask "why not" likely will get "I don't want to be part of the problem" Then they have admitted that they would be perceived by other as part of the problem hence they would be treated differently hence they actually would be afraid. Maybe horns just says "no" would identify as that if were true and then you would give them respect.
