Turns out that after further digging...the internet was down for many parts of the globe...but not everything everwhere...some systems didnt notice any major issue while some were totally crashed...what ever it was it was it came in waves because if you look at the connectivity rise and fall over the last few days it shows that there have been massive spikes that only last about an hour all over the planet..
