zinc with no ionophore is probably useless. C is good, but i you getting a big pharma, retail brand, it's probably useless. tonic water? we've gone over that one on here dozens of times.
There have been studies showing the loading with zinc by itself reduces length and severity of symptoms in colds. I doubt it’s useless. Making sure you have enough on board at the right time is key. Obviously having an ionophore onboard right when you get sick is ideal.
But a lot of people on here don’t know to supplement with copper if they take zinc prophylactically. Copper deficiency is something that can happen and can cause nerve damage.

I do take zinc every day. I just take it with EGCG and quercetin.
