So for the past several months my wife and I have been taking daily doses of vitamin D, C, zinc, a multi-vitamin, and magnesium citrate (because it helps the body uptake of the vitamin D). We are also in the best of health, go to the gym 5 days a week, eat right, and basically just enjoy life and our activities. We don't plan on getting the "vaccine" and have accepted the fact that a 98.7% survival rate is a percentage we can live with.

I'm a tough old bird and hard to kill.... I've been through my share of life challenges and am still here, so I refuse to live in fear and isolation.

Great job on the rest fren. You will live to 100 on the regimen.

I recommend one dropper of Fulvic acid in water, once a week. To detox heavy metals from your body: https://store.docofdetox.com/collections/humic-fulvic/products/fulvic-acid

You will live to 100 this way.

Well, I am one of the more "seasoned citizens" at the gym I go to, and the younger staff have decided that I intend to live forever. I tell them, "So far, so good."

The most important is you're taking ENOUGH vitamin D. ideally you get your blood tested to see where you're at. Your D level is accumulative, meaning you got to build it up (it stores in the fat). As opposed to C which goes in and out of the body quickly. Anyhow, you have to figure out and massage the amount of Vitamin D you supplement with in order to raise your body up to that wonderful 50-90 range.

All that being said, without testing your individual needs, I figure 10,000 IU / day is a safe amount to get you out of the Covid death danger zone, while no way puts you in danger of too much Vitamin D to become a calcium problem.

That's what Dr. Lee Merrick said. You can get your Vit D checked through DHA labs for $35.

My kid was at a level of 8! She's doing the loading dose once a week, but I'm throwing another 5-10k on top of it.

Kid? I should have added a caveat. I was assuming adult when I said 10,000 IU.

My Naturopathic doctor said when you are deficient and trying to load up fast, that you can do half your body weight (X1,000) in IU for 3 days.... Like if your kid is 70 lbs, than you can do a maximum of 35,000 IU for 3 days straight, and then back off to a lower daily amount. (Maybe only do like 2,000 IU for a 70 lb child.

I have a 4-1/2 year old, and I give her 800 IU/ day, via chewy smarty pants multi vitamin.

If you abstain from wheat in any form...then your Vit D3 levels will rise like magic when you supplement.

– MewThat 1 point 5 years ago +1 / -0

Interesting because wheat came back as my highest food sensitivity on one of those blood tests. Maybe the lower my D is the higher the symptoms of my problem with wheat. so, if i raise my D, then less problem with the wheat.

That's very good advice - I was taking 10,000 IU per day, and found out with a blood test that I was still deficient! I upped it to 15K per day, but I have to go back to find out if that did the trick or if there's some reason I'm not absorbing it.

Dr. Rhonda Patrick has a rule of thumb. each 1,000 additional Vit D = 5 ng/ml. The RDAs are scams. And all the MSM vit D toxicity scare articles are criminal.

I'm 45. 180 lbs. taking 12,000 IU/day. last test was 59 ng/ml. (I started at 16 when covid hit).

my wife is 40. 120 lbs. taking 5,000 IU/day. her last test was 66 ng/ml.

So, that's quite a difference for 60 lbs and 5 years, so I've also attributed it to perhaps she has better gut health and absorbs it better than me.

before supplementing, I was testing at about 16 level. It took me months at 5,000 IU and then 10,000, and now 12,000 IU/day and my last test had me at 59!! it's amazing the health difference in all aspects of my health. Even with my GI tract. I always used to feel like I could be headed toward Crohn's, colon cancer, or some food alergies, something with my frequent runs to the bathroom, what did i eat? etc.. I even felt like I felt my intestines twitching at night while laid in bed. All that is gone now! My bm's are the way they should be. I don't have to fruitlessly watch what I eat, etc..

What a scam is being run on the people.

do you think the Fulvic Acid would help nerve damage? had a TBI, and my foot of all things bothers me the most, and isn't improving with exercise.

also need to get on the Vitamin D, etc... just hate shopping anymore, but I know it will help. wish they made something with all of this^ in one vitamin.

Yes the fulvic will help alot. You need Magnesium and Vit D more than you think, but to heal your foot, look into "violet ray therapy". You can find "quack medicine" machines on ebay, from that period fully working, I bought one in perfect condition from 1920.

5 mins a day on your foot with violet rays and you will be back to perfect soon.

thank you, this sound perfect! and exactly what I've been asking for; some kind of vitamin, light/laser therapy, but of course regular doctors don't want to hear such things.

actually have a glass light frequency machine that I got a few years ago, thought it would help my son's skin condition, I'll have to look again and see what it does, might be worth a try.

and I'll look for one of the older machines too, as I know those guys were closer to the truth back then, and why we never hear about them.
would be so great to walk without pain, even though I do think it was all part of God's plan, so I'd have time to focus on research..had to do something to keep me still;)

when you find a working one. use it for 5 minutes at a time and connect it to a power bar as it will give you an on/off button for the machine if theres an issue (none of them had it back then)

Okay I need to seriously get on the vitamin d3 again. I used to use doctors best but I'll have to see if I should do 10,000 ius to start with. I live in a state that is 80% cloudy any given day.

I relate to a lot of what you said about intestines twitching and always analyzing what I'm eating. I feel exhausted half the time. Do you know how much magnesium is a good supplement? I get migraines not super frequent but at least every few weeks sometimes more. But I'm always afraid of the loose bm.

I also want to supplement calcium bc osteoporosis runs in my family so I started back with my weight training yet I'm feeling it in my knees. Maybe that's B related too.

I have my gyn appt in a couple weeks and was going to ask them but they'll probably lie like my regular doc.

I'm a nurse and should know this but there's so much conflicting info and I don't trust pharma at all.

You need around 400mg a day of Mag a day, start with 200mg and work up to 400mg. Excess mag will cause loose stool but thats it (its how the body excretes extra)

In general, 1000mg Vit C / 5000 IU D (find one with 120mcg K2) / 400mg mag biglycinate / one brazil but (selenium) / 50mg zinc glycinate everyday will have you feeling like a BEAST.

Add fulvic acid once a week you will live to 100. I recommend a enema to cleanse your colon ATLEAST once a year.

I had heard that k2 goes with d3 for bone health, but what I only just found out yesterday is that you can overdo the k2 of you're trying to get high doses of d3. So don't exceed the daily dose for a d3+k2 supplement. Take extra d3 on its own without the extra k2. I'm not a medical professional, so confirm for yourself.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– MemesBeDreams 2 points 5 years ago +2 / -0

100% correct. Take one D pill with K2, the rest just D3.

1000mg C, 5000IU D

K2 is part of D complex and ensures the D calcifies correctly. Its integral and part of some D supplements.

400mg of any mag, biglycinate is the best.

Brazil nuts are the best food source of Selenium, an essential nutrient depleted from our soils. Eat one brazil nut a day.

No problem, bring all the Qs you like. Be healthy. Feel like a beast.

I've been following your replies in this post. Thanks for the info you are helping many of us with. I am new (about 12 mo) to the use of supplements. I was told after a bone density test to up my calcium and D3. I have tried to "equate" the dosage of "IU" with "mg". but not sure how to do that. I have currently 2,000 IU of D3, but unsure how to "increase" it to what the Dr. wants. Can you help explain? Thanks!

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– MemesBeDreams 2 points 5 years ago +2 / -0

google will convert IU (international units) to mg for you

the bare minimum for adults should be 5000 IU of D2 (with the 120mcg of K2) per day. 30 minutes in the sun is equal to 10000 iu to equate the dose. you are basically forcing 15 minutes of sunshine a day.

You need to take K2 if you are taking 5000+ IU of D so it calcifies correctly (not in your arteries).

Find a D3 pill with 5000 IU and 120mcg + of K2, there are tons.

As I've mentioned in other threads, my personal daily intake is:

  • D3 5000iu
  • K2 200ug
  • Zinc citrate 30mg
  • Magnesium citrate 400mg
  • Boron (trace amount, as below)

I put a teaspoon of boracic acid powder (bought at the pharmacy as "foot powder") in boiling water to dissolve it. Then I add enough cold water to make a pint (half litre). I take a capful in coffee.

I'm not saying these quantities are right for everyone but this is what I was taking when I got the virus in January 2020 and I didn't die.

This doctor agrees. He's the only one, so far, who has mentioned boron:

Most people think there is a flu season but there is not the flu is year round. In spring and summer most people are outside and get their vitamin D from the sun. Only 10-15 minutes in the sun 3 times a week keeps your vitamin D built up. In the fall and winter unless you are in a warm place most people dont get that sun. Vitamin D if kept up all year will stop you from getting any virus and will improve your health greatly.

When I go out to shop I put a drop of 3% lugols iodine onto a cotton bud and poke it around the inside of my nose for a bit, and do the same when I come back home.

I take Kalonji with honey each morning, along with Liopsomal Vit C, Vit D3 capsules, Zn and micronised zeolite.

One thing I know that does work very well but its illegal and expensive. Take a big bud of good weed picked straight off the plant, juice it with your favourite flavor and drink it down.

Don't save it for later, its potency decreases extremely quickly.

Do this each morning, it will promote homeostasis in you very nicely.

Lots of depression in Alaska due to short days and no sunlight at all during the year they are treated with D3.

Covids too and many other things. You can be so low in D3 it can breed cancers.

Medicare does not test for vitamin D in the first Blood palette they have patients come every 90 days for a checkup.

Now why is that? $$$

I had a family member ask their doctor about their vitamin D level. The doctor said Medicare does not test for vitamin D. The doctor said while people are low in Michigan as summer and sun is short the people in Florida are just as low. So we just recommend a supplement they were told. So when I saw them I asked why they never recommended it until I told them to ask?

Fauci is on tape saying " I have always taken 6,000 to 8000 units a day of vitamin D3" BAS-TURD!

He was known by other doctors in town as the Vit D doctor for advising his patients to take it, and he checks her levels yearly to make sure she is on target. I caught the swine flu and sick as a dog with parvo for a week. She had it for two days max and did much better than I did.

I eat plenty of leafy greens; nuts and seeds; alliums (onion family); legumes; berries and other fruit daily. They contain zinc, quercetin and other flavonoids, Vitamins K, C, and thousands upon thousands of other micronutrients that scientists don't even know about much less put in a pill or drug. My supplements are light but do contain a good dose of D3, plus I get outdoors every day in the garden.

I’ve been taking d3+k2, C, and zinc with quercetin for about a year now. I usually don’t drink alcohol much, as I have gotten older the hangovers have been getting worse.

I drank a lot of beers the other night though and I thought I would be in for a big hangover. The next morning I was completely fine, maybe just a little dehydrated. No headache or nausea.

I forget the source, but I've read regular use of Tylenol will decrease your Vit. D levels. My husband's levels were low and his dr. ordered supplemental Vit. D, he's been taking 1000mg of Tylenol every evening.

Fucking hell.

He takes 1000mg of Tylenol?! ?!??!?!!?

Vitamin D needs vitamin K and they both need magnesium. We use Frunutta Vitamin D and K because they are dissolvable and can be used for the whole family.

that sounds like mostly a waste.

zinc with no ionophore is probably useless. C is good, but i you getting a big pharma, retail brand, it's probably useless. tonic water? we've gone over that one on here dozens of times.

There have been studies showing the loading with zinc by itself reduces length and severity of symptoms in colds. I doubt it’s useless. Making sure you have enough on board at the right time is key. Obviously having an ionophore onboard right when you get sick is ideal. But a lot of people on here don’t know to supplement with copper if they take zinc prophylactically. Copper deficiency is something that can happen and can cause nerve damage.

zinc is the most common mineral in our body. I think the issue is more about getting it to crossover into the cells. so EGCG, quercetin, or hydroxicloroquine.

I do take zinc every day. I just take it with EGCG and quercetin.

anyone here recommend a solid multi-vitamin?

permalink save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– okaydoomer 2 points 5 years ago +2 / -0

I use encapsulated animal organs (kidney, liver, spleen, lung, bone, heart, etc), cod liver oil and whole fish eggs and finally for B vitamins, nutritional yeast. If you buy synthetic B vitamins, make sure they are methylated. Sea kelp for iodine and to balance the antinutrients from cruciferous consumption.

You should avoid synthetic multivitamins. If you're absolutely going to use them, I like Thorn products and Pure Encapsulations.

You can find food-based multi-vitamins. Standard Process has been in the food-based medicine game for a while. We love their ox bile for digestion of fats, gallbladder or not. I am not sure if they make a multivitamin.

Make sure your vitamin C comes from cherries or something and not ascorbic acid.

Dr. Berg on Youtube can school you on vitamins and minerals and all of that. You'll learn SO MUCH.

These are big and 3x a day, but if you can get past that you're golden. I've been using them for many years.

I had heard that too, but then just yesterday a naturopath said I should not be using a d3+k2 supplement in high doses. Too much k2 isn't good. Take extra d3 on its own after you've had your daily dose of k2.

Uh-oh.... supplements & Nootropics..... my favorite topic! :-)

I read somewhere a while ago that you really ought to take Vit. K along with your D; it's supposed to help with absorption.

Here's what I bought & take, though I've tried many different brands & do not necessarily recommend this one in particular:

Vitamin D3 + K2 (MK-7) Liquid Drops with MCT Oil, Peppermint Flavor

Definitely be sure to take your Vitamin D during the winter; I find it REALLY helps with mood / energy level, since the days are so short & it's often overcast / raining / snowing.

D3 NEEDS vitamin K in the form of MK4 or MK7 so that calcium isn't driven into your soft tissues!

D3 + MK4 + Magnesium
