Wasn't it ferrets and cats (I think two separate studies)? Can't remember reading about the monkey study.

Also, the vaccine trials on children done in the 60s for another Corona virus. Wasn't MRNA but the study highlighted the difficulty in creating vaccines for Corona viruses in general (ADE related). In this trial, 80% of the children were hospitalized and two children died.
