Barbec.....On pizza!? Who are you people? I guess it lessens the sweetness some to provide more of a balance? As the Taiwanese chef was discussing, the pineapple sweetness is strong and needs some mitigation to not overwhelm the other ingredients. Once that is done, it can be a good addition.
Both pineapple and BBQ sauce, which is basically ketchup with smoke, are sweet-sour. Pure tomato would make it too sour. I think the BBQ sauce maintains the sweet-sour balance (it only takes about 2 tbsp for a medium pizza) and adds the smoke.
You have to use barbecue sauce instead of marinara. Then it works.
Or garlic Parmesan. Or maybe I’m just weird.
Mustard on pizza is pretty good.
The smart people left China and created Taiwan.
Right now, China is claiming they own land in 20 countries! PIGS!

Marinara is gross and shouldn't be on anything.
Tomato sauce on pizza with pineapple is okay as long as there's BBQ sauce on the top layer. Steak spice doesn't hurt either.
But then again, real pizza doesn't have cheese on it anyway, so to each their own.
Found the guy who likes anchovies.
Had anchovies once. Okay on their own, turtle food if on 'za.
