This is true, though at the risk of being pedantic I meant I'm a United States citizen, though living outside the US, and thus lacking a US mobile number that would allow me to pre-register at FrankSpeech.
They probably got a lot of immediate feedback on this, so they've since added this note to the signup page:

Not pedantic at all, I was just having some fun. We US citizens are self-centered so many think we're the only Americans. But Brazilians don't call themselves Americans either. Like I said, just having some fun.
