ON NovaVax: "In 2015, the company received an $89 million grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to support the development of a vaccine against human respiratory syncytial virus for infants via maternal immunization".
Didn’t know the Gates involvement. Dude is like a cockroach; just can’t get rid of jinx
NovaVax for this one at least has a lipid subunit so it won’t cause blood clots and also has a virus particle closer to the actual virus size, which means your immune system should theoretically learn how to kill the thing instead of making the proteins that will kill you. It isn’t an mRNA vaccine.
That’s probably why Gates invested in it, tbh. The people there figured out a way to make vaccines that have virus particles closer to virus size so your immune system actually learns what to look out for without you getting sick. Didn’t want something good coming to the masses.
Still ridiculous to take a jab for a virus that hasn’t been fully mapped and that causes less deaths than the vaccine itself, but if someone was going to force me to take one, I’d wait for this one.
They probably won’t give NovaVax approval specifically because it is the safest and most successful option.
Pfizer and Moderna have a great chance of giving blood clots than the J&J one anyway.

Big No Thanks from me.

I hadn’t even heard of the NovaVax vaccine until now.
Going to do some research about it, but either way, I now have a new argument I can make:
“Vaccination? Oh, I’m waiting for the NovaVax vaccine to be available.”
My go to lol
