I know a lot of information is available online to look at but I prefer some information from people instead of news that could be biased in favor or against something.
What are the state of things for everyone around America and the world? I'm sure people from other countries use this website.
Here in FL, life has never really changed aside from seeing people wearing masks. I go to stores without a mask, no one cares. I go out to eat without a mask and 95% of people are also not wearing masks. It does make me feel bad for the employees that are told to wear a mask or find another job.
I know Amazon is not popular to some because of Parler but Parler was never anything for us anyways. I happen to like Amazon prime movies, Amazon unlimited music, and the prime delivery. I also have Walmart deliver big packs of TP so I don't have to deal with it in a store, to a car, etc. Maybe it's a bit of laziness but I am getting older, not younger lol.
I bring up those because if I am home when something is delivered, they hand it right to me, usually without a mask, no 6ft bs, as if life has never changed. If I order a pizza, the delivery driver is the same way. I go into stores without a mask, all is normal. Many places have employees either without a mask on or with it pulled down under their chin.
I know that I don't know truly how bad it is for people living in more liberal areas so I assume there might be others that would not know truly how bad things have gotten. I was wanting to see what other people are having to go through.
When this mess is over with, and it will be one day, many of us will likely be helping each other kind of rebuild the world in a way. Not literally but I can imagine a lot is going to change.
This was edifying and well needed. Something Light and encouraging to know that this isn't forever.
I live in Virginia and for the most part all our stores have a masks required sign. I wear it past the greeters and then I take it off. Walmart is usually not aggressive about it whereas Royal Farms is much harsher and we have a food lion in my town and I've yet to try taking my mask off there because I go to that store so infrequently. But I'm tempted to see how people respond if I use the medical condition thing. I actually do have one (nothing life threatening just a heart murmur from perforated heart valves which apparently a lot of people can have) so my conscience would be clear.
Overall the only place I feel the most mask pressure is from my boss. I work for social services and they are extremely progressive. Almost every week I get an email reminder from my medical insurance provider and my boss about vaccines and spreading the word about them like it's gospel.
So it's honestly hit or miss. The constitution was heavily influenced by private property rights so I have tried to be more peaceable regarding the masks but I even told my boss to her face that I think the masks are useless and I have research (I homebrew beer) that helped me prove, along with case studies from 2011, that to be fact. But I also told her out of respect for her ill follow her rules. I don't really have other job opportunities at the moment and most other jobs are even stricter than her. When I'm in certain offices with fellow co workers they don't gripe about the mask. And I never wear mine if someone comes into mine. Keeping my coffee in my hand let's me just take a sip whenever I get looks about not having it on.
But yeah, I wish I was bolder about not wearing them but so many people in Virginia are terrified. My own home got affected by covid and my dad still can't taste or smell... however he also takes chronic pain meds known for destroying smell and taste. It's very hit or miss. But he isn't dead. So praise the LORD in Jesus name for that.
I agree with you, we need to just stand firm and fight when and where we can and be there for everyone else.
God bless you in Jesus name, friend.
I can understand people wearing a mask in order to keep their job but in stores, people really should be more free because you are the consumer, the customer and well in old days the customer used to always be right but now days I don't think big stores care about customers at all.
I haven't seen a food lion in many years, thought they went out of business. Some people might not have the option to go to other stores but for me, there's seemingly endless amounts of stores all around so if a store ever said something to me about a mask I would have the luxury to stop shopping there but I know not everyone can.
I prefer small cities but the big cities have quite a bit of advantages. I do miss living out in the county, country living but I like living near the ocean more.
Yeah the problem is with small town is it feels like when propaganda hits the majority rule hits harder there. Especially if it's a liberal small town because small towns just wanna impress the big kids (cities) yet so few still know who we are xD. Just went to corner mart this morning without a mask to get gas and the lady literally walked away and refused to just give me my gas. I even mentioned a medical condition just for kicks and she still refused. And literally it's either there, rofo, or cheers. We have as country folk would say, "slim pickins'." So your empathy is appreciated. Most of us around here are outnumbered by the sleepy majority and I would happily take my money elsewhere but all our pickings are compromised so it's either disobey the mask and pray they don't get fussy. Otherwise we either comply or we don't get the good we need. My prayer for God to bless you in Jesus name still stands. Amen
It really doesn't feel like America anymore sometimes. People denying others the ability to shop while breathing in fresh air. It's all over a virus, if we even can call it a virus, with a 99.7% or something survival rate.
I fear the result of this is WHEN the coin flips, which it always does; those that were alienated by mask wearers will pass the same mask wearers by when they need services, goods, etc. In fact I saw a video on here already where people wearing masks were kicked out of a store.
I do believe that this mask thing has accomplished one thing for sure:
Some Americans are going to adopt as some already have the philosophy of my late popop when he didn't like someone.
"I wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire."
And what's the most tragic it will only be because of the nature of life which Jesus preached about,
Luke 6:37-38
37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Maybe another reason why Q told us to be there for these people when they wake up... because our carnal minds would prefer to condemn and abandon them for the way they treated us. Which I think might actually be what the cabal wants, division. The cycle never ends until we break the mold by lending grace to these unruly folk who would, if given the chance, do the exact opposite and offer us up to the DS as an offering to live their lives as they were.
I heard zinc help with taste loss
Thank you for the info, I'll be sure to share that with my pop.
God bless you in Jesus name too, friend.
