Doesnt matter. It’s all for show, They ‘reject’ the powers, in a obvious show of restraint to quell public concern, but will still have them for later when they need to round up people. This isnt going away

It matters. MANY police oppose the lockdowns, but suffer internal pressure from some superiors. Once they see peers and leaders reject the Nazis tactics, they too will not enforce the unlawful edicts. Then the public will have more courage to do the same.
They will just slowly replace ‘uncompliant’ police with those willing to do their bidding. Meanwhile the powers will remain intact. This is a tactic.
That's cool and all. But they said the same thing here in Michigan when I called my county sheriff. Repeatedly they told me they won't enforce the governor's order. They just forward the complaints to the health department. Which then sends the state police. Not muh jurisdiction is what they tell you. Fucking cowards all of them. Fucking rat bastard cowards.

The Police are not your personal army Dougie, and after a year of being told Police are bad from the same ilk that live in fear of this virus, why in the blue Hell would they want to take actions that further conflict where it is not needed?
It's encouraging to see most of the Ontario city/town police forces defying Ford's orders. If you actually look at the wording of the law, it doesn't say anything about questioning people about where they're going. They were lying in the press conference and they're being called out. Whether this marks a change, only time will tell, but it is better than the alternative.
