Well, happy 4/20, fren
Up here in Canada the legal bud is digging into black market profits. Prices are now sub CA$5, and, surprisingly, even the lower priced brands have a high quality threshold set by what's currently available. It's stupid it's illegal and part of the reason it was made so was because of that newspaper owner who had stakes in the lumber industry and hemp was a threat to his paper plants, so he paid for influence in government to bad cannabis outright, thus clouding what the REAL motive was. Bit like what they are up to now concerning a bunch of other stuff, like disarming the nation in the name of gun "control".
William Randolph Hearst.
Don't they give guns away when you open a checking account in Canada.
Yea who would pay 300 dollars an ounce for dirtweed. Grow your own.
Thats why I grow my own. In MA, six plants per adult in the household.
Goes on to say they could sell their "awarded" licence for 6 to 10 million. Money Laundering?
Like the taxi medallion fraud too funny. JUST SAY NO TO THESE ASS-WIPES.
Fight terrorism, buy homegrown.
13 lucky businesses? Wow, is that in-your-face or what?
I am pro medical cannabis. Medications are tax-exempt. It is that way in Florida. Recreational cannabis taxation will make weed a luxury item.
That is a very good point. Do they tax "medical" marijuana ?
No. Medical marijuana under Florida law is tax-exempt, as are the doctors fees that come from patient applications and fees paid to the state. Also, most of the dispensaries offer discounts for Seniors, Veterans, workers in the mmj industry, and low-income benefits recipients, up to 30% off retail prices. I would like to see it go to the next level and let Medicare or VA pay for it but that's just me and my fixed-income retired frugal bone talking.
Use the $5 dollar empty cup method, except using a bag ?
They learned from Oregon that letting too many people grow and sell soon saturated the market so they limited the licenses. But this must be purely recreational, because all the medical places, of which there were many, are also selling recreational weed.
Who wouldve guessed that regulating a good would lead it to have ridiculous entry barriers and costs.
The only right situation is similar to Portugal where instead of legalising drugs they just decriminalised them. Reduces crimes and ODs but also doesnt apply all the red tape.
Kansas City is like that as well. We legalized medical a year ago, and there’s like one dispensary open. Bunch being built, but nothing is coming from them.
