Insane Diego, the City Council is saying they won't spend $40M to rebuild the storm-damaged Ocean Beach Pier, on accounta climate change will raise SEA level to swallow it up anyway. So what'll they do with the money? Why - hand it to illegals, of course! Insanity is the spew normal . . . .
Yep. I think it's safe to say that it has never been worse. Unfortunately, we can say that every single day, until the insanity is put to death. If not The Plan, then the Second Coming -- and IF the former, the latter is still guaranteed to follow! Without faith. I shudder to think how miserable I'd be . . .
Tragic. I say that because when I was in my early Navy years I lived in an apartment in OB on Niagara Ave, a <5min walk to the pier. Things were very different then.
Absolutely. We moved to SD in '83, when I equated the city to a big, dumb 12-year old . . . Now it's a world class city but still making dumb decisions
Nostalgia-driven, I recently looked at OB in the Google Earth street view tool. Image of the homeless guy in the doorway of The Black caught my eye - he wasnt even born yet when I lived there in '78.
