Agreed. Your life and the lives on your children would be endangered forever if you didn’t vote guilty. Not saying it was the right thing to do, but I can’t imagine the pressure of having to decide whether Chauvin was to be wrongly convicted or to have to forfeit your own life or the life of your child.
The FACT that they didn’t change venue for this highly political trial or even sequester the jury shows that something was afoot. I mean, if you don’t do those things for this trial when would you EVER do it ?
Imagine you have a loving spouse, and wonderful children and you're a juror on the trial. You hear and see images of the wrong person's house being splattered with pigs blood and learn it was intended for Chauvin's lawyers. Then, you hear CBS news mention they have the names and addresses of every juror on the trial. And then, you hear politicians say they won't accept anything less than a guilty verdict.
I think that would spook anyone not to jeopardize their family and go for a guilty verdict. I probably would too.
I think bussing them in past police lines and angry crowds and the NYT promising to identify them was enough.

At that point I'd give a call to our President.
No, not the Usurper, but our real President.
