Unfortunate but true. Some are not as bad as others though. There's a Dollar General, Dollar Tree, Publix, and Family Dollar, all within about 2 blocks of me that don't bother anyone about masks.
Most of the time the employees at the DG nearby don't bother wearing masks. They keep the little mask sign on the door to appease the idiot clowns of Hillsborough county and city of Tampa but it for sure isn't enforced.
Restaurants here don't care either about masks but I sure do feel bad for employees sometimes. So many people have to risk their health by wearing a mask 8+ hours a day or risk losing a job.
Here in FL, most jobs are at will which means anyone can be fired without a reason needed so if a store tells employees to wear a mask they do it or look for a job that won't require it.
There's a local owned gas station across the street and they rarely wear the masks so when I want something that I can get from there, a lot of times I'll support them.
I shop more at DG than I used to because they don't play the mask games. Walmart has people at the door enforcing masks but once inside no one says anything. I rarely ever go to a Walmart anymore though which is a good thing.
Any time a business becomes successful, it is bought by the corporations and absorbed or closed down. Happens every time.
