Priorities for hiring seem a bit skewed.

Taxes + health insurance especially for a family + rent + groceries + student debt + leaves you with about $50 to spend for the next 2 weeks. I can see why young people don't want to work all day long every day for this. It's not the employers fault, it's taxes and insurance that are stealing every last dime they can. The working spirit is crushed for young workers because it hardly seems worth it. They been dreaming of being millionaires because LeBron said to dream big. Then they get a $600 paycheck after 2 weeks of hard work. Its tough on the soul. For some reason the media gets away with saying employers aren't paying enough while the government robs us blind of our hard earned money. Govt and heath insurance are squeezing us out of being able to live the real American dream.
This article is about teens, though. I can't find a teenager who will even work for $15 per hour, cash under the table. They might show up, but they are not present. The attitude is almost as though they are doing me a favor by putting down their phone and performing a simple task.
Yeah, the cell phones and social media have been a disaster for young people and their focus. Take that along with idiot celebrities and a corrupt media telling them to be thugs and gangsters abusing alcohol and drugs. and how the corporate world is unfair (but not taxes) its a recepi for low ambition kids once they see the real world difficulties. Which goes along with the psychological attack on Americans.
I recently saw a poll, and dont quote me, but it was something along the lines of "when asked about dream careers in a pool of young teens the top three jobs wanted were 1) Social Media Influencer/YouTuber 2) Basketball/Football player and 3) ...a rapper.
This was a nationwide poll and is alarming as hell. Genuinely worried.
Yeah, they sit on their phone and think just physically being there is good enough. They work really hard at not working.
I went 10 years without health insurance. They've convinced everyone they must have it. Didn't miss it. Honesy I waste my money on it now too.
Yeah and still have to pay a crapload out of pocket.
