The problem with that is they become addicted to the suboxone instead. They been using that for a few years here. My mother was on it for pain management cuz tge doctors got her hooked on the percocets and shit. If she was 10 minutes late for the appointment shed start feeling like shit.withdrawals would start.
Stay away from the "miracle drugs" best way is cold turkey. Smoke some weed if needed.many of my friends are addicts.the clean ones say weed helped them tremendously with the detoxing.
Here, instead of being addicted to this horrible street drug that doesnt benefit us.take this totally legal, totally free miracle addiction that makes us money.
I agree. I went through a nightmare with my daughter over that. So many rehabs won't take them until they have detoxed. Detox places won't take them until they are down to 30mg. They had my daughter on 125mg.
Sorry for jumping in late on the thread here, but it's a good one that should be talked about and I thank OP for bringing it up, but especially you guys for the insight.
Personally have no experience with opiods (thank God - they would have undoubtedly killed me as they did my friends), but I've been following Dr. Drew Pinsky for many years. Some of you may know him as money grabbing celebrity doctor, which he is, but he's also a very competent and compassionate addiction medicine specialist. He's said for decades the same thing you all are saying about the dangers of replacement treatments. They have their place but, unfortunately, like many treatments are only as good as the doctor in charge. And I'm sure those of us with firsthand experience know that finding a competent doctor is like a needle in a hay stack - no pun intended.
Thanks for sharing. It's extremely important people struggling with addiction know these facts about possible treatments.
The clinics have become a cash cow. They do not provide proper level of counseling. I just wish they would divert money from these clinics to creating proper treatment centers. We need more dual diagnosis and holistic facilities.
Again, sorry for the late reply, but you're absolutely correct and I wanted to tell you as much. My background is in Finance, and I've have a legitimate chronic illness for 15+ years. Combining the two, I've seen firsthand how finance driven administration has decimated the ability of doctors to provide adequate care. I've spoken frankly about it with more than two handfuls of physicians and ARNPs, and probably 100+ office staff and fellow patients. Everyone not in the profession simply for a paycheck is disgusted. Even those who are just chasing a buck are frustrated.
Compliance with administrative mandates has forced many to adhere to strick 15 minute appointments, pushing of follow ups, prescribing of partnering medications, etc. It's a silent holocaust, and I imagine it's even more horrific in the realm of addiction therapy.
This is why Trump had to leave DC. When he really went after them he needed to be where they couldn't track him. Whereever he goes he has an army around him. That's a lot of security for a supposedly "former" president.
"The move comes amid a worse-than-ever drug overdose crisis, which has taken a dire turn amid the Covid-19 pandemic. More than 87,000 Americans died of overdoses during the 12-month period that ended in September 2020, according to estimates from the Centers for Disease Control. Data for the full 2020 calendar year isn’t available yet, but most addiction policy officials expect the death toll will climb even higher."
It is important we always quantify the true death toll of the plandemic. Here's another trickle down effect of Their evil on humanity.
Suboxone?

I have seen fist hand how suboxone prolongs addiction.
Same thing with the methadone.

Salient point from the article:
