The problem is that the bishops and cardinals of DC are refusing to deny him communion (surprise, surprise). Nobody else on their level or below really has any power to do anything, and the Pope sure as hell isn't going to step in (for obvious reasons). This is the best we can do for now and I'm just glad that ANYBODY in the upper echelons is starting to push back in any function.
