This is so false. First of all after becoming a Master Mason you can go no higher...any degrees thereafter are lateral degrees not upward. Secondly, the 33rd degree only exists within Scottish Rite masonry which is just one of many appendant bodies of masonry. Someone who is “as high as you can go” may choose to go through the degrees of Scottish Rite or may choose to do other degrees in York Rite....or may choose to do the Shrine etc. or they could choose to do all of it. But its all accessory it doesn't make you any higher up. And each body focuses on a different aspect of masonry. York Rite focuses on Faith and Christian principles. Scottish Rite focuses on philosophy. Shrine focuses on charity. But regardless none of it ends up being some satanic cabal bent on riches and world domination. I hate to break that to everyone but sometimes the truth is not as fun as the speculation.

A TON of misinformation and straight fake stuff in these documentaries as well....and theyre usually made by people who have never been masons and if they have quit before they even had time to really learn anything
