I was a “punk” all through the 80s and still listen to the OG music to this day. I never agreed with “their” message/lyrics (in a way, ironically I guess I did) but it didn’t mean I couldn’t appreciate what punk rock meant at the time, it was rebelling from the system, the establishment. And now that I know what I know, “my side” was just as deeply in bed with the other side, two sides of the same coin. Today’s Punk Rock is sold out, 100% pussified and is the antithesis of what OG Punk Rock stood for.
Today, Trump is Punk Rock, what he stands for, what he’s doing, and it’s AWESOME!
Happens to so many genres. Starts as an underground thing, a real movement. With a real message.
The industry takes notice, takes it over and turns it into a product, at the same time taking control of the message that will be pushed.
Happened with Metal, Rap, Punk, you name it... The industry takes them over and decides what and who will be popular.
The good news is, they're losing their grasp. Hollywood is crumbling.
There are certain celebrities who "push the edge" during their careers. But unlike 99% of celebrities, they stop to assess how they got there and realize that it is the freedom they live under that helped them do what they did.
He's just a contrarian drunk, don't think he's an ally. He likes pissing people off but turns on a dime and will never show loyalty to conservatism or Trump

I love me a super based Johnny Rotten!
Love love OG Punk Rock! Today’s “punk rockers” are a bunch of soy boy poseurs. Very sad.

That is so true and so awful. I am thrilled though that the entertainment industry is tanking. It can’t happen fast enough.
Couldn't have said that better Jonny Rotten!
Spot on!!!

Johnny Rotten is one of them.

He had the guts to call out Jimmy Savil when he was just a kid. People died who tried to do that. Good man.
Nice. I was going to mention this!
