Recounts just scanned in the ballots and recorded the result so if the original count included fraudulent ballots, then so did the recount - the audit examining each ballot for signs of being fake (no creases on mailed in ballots, machine filled in choice bubbles, things like that). I also believe that the audit will verify information for addresses since it has already been proven that lots of the mail-in ballots came from out of state voters, fake addresses, and non-residential addresses.
