ABC & NBC and I don't know how many other channels are carrying a star-studded event tonight to "inspire vaccine confidence worldwide and help get the COVID-19 vaccines to everyone". Selena Gomes, Jennifer Lopez, Eddie Vedder, Foo Fighters & more will entertain and grace us with their celebrity intellect. When in our lifetimes have we seen so much money spent to advertise a vaccine? Edit: Title should read: They think you will follow the stars. Oops

Record low viewership one after another for the elites of our entertainment industry is a lovely thing, although it shouldn't be.
They simply need to be reminded that they are not the boss of us and they lose their wealth if we decide we don't want to spend money on them anymore.
I wish more people would get this but this entertainment industry has not been around that long when you look at it through the lens of human history.
Hollywood and movies hasn't been around long, I'd have to look it up but I'd guess offhand around 100 years.
Music has been around longer but music has been corrupted by Hollywood also and in some cases very badly.
Music tries to cater to the younger crowd to brainwash them, change their general way of thinking and perception of what it is normal in society.
For countless thousands of years, humans did not have Hollywood and concerts and humans did just fine without all of that.
I remember in the 90s back when TV stations would go off the air at like midnight or whatever it was.
I remember back then when there were only maybe a dozen or less channels on TV at all.
Now days people are caught up in the 1000+ TV channels, endless internet content, video games, social media and more.
All of these things prevent the direct real human interaction and that surely has and will have negative effects on generations of people.
I don't think people should cut off their entertainment but definitely should greatly reduce the amount of it because it's helped create a society of elites that are very much out of control.
I actually just saw a PSA that Vin Diesel did, "for more than 100 years there's only one place where we all came together to be entertained: the movies. After staying apart for so long, it's time we come together. Because nobody does a comeback like the movies. We'll see you soon". They know their industry is in the shitter, look at the Oscar ratings dropping like a rock.
I say, let them lose more and more money. Most of the "elites" in Hollywood are worth over 50 million dollars so if they can't survive off of that then that's on them. I believe what will hurt them the most is realizing that most people don't give a shit about them.
Exactly. Look how they all behaved at the beginning of covid. For some reason they thought we couldn't live one day without seeing them so they started posting all their stupid songs, ramblings in bathtubs, dumb dances, etc. Now nobody watches their award shows because precious few give a rip about them all.
There are lots of movies I like that I would refuse to watch now days because of the actions of people in those movies, which in some ways is sad but if we don't stand up against these people then nothing will truly ever change.
Actors/actresses, they need to be reminded that they are no more important than a guy sleeping under a bridge. They provide entertainment for us. Matthew McConaughey once said that actors were like court jesters, simply there to entertain people.
I don't know if he's a good or bad person but he did at least make an honest statement a few years ago about them being like court jesters. The majority of people are overlooked, ignored, without their proper worth being placed upon them.
If people do not pay to watch movies theaters, if people do not buy movies in stores, if people do not go to concerts, if people stop buying music then all of those elites cease to matter and their lavish lifestyles have to stop if the money stops.
Something many may not know about DJT is that although he's the guy at the top of his Trump business, he has always valued his employees. He would check in with them, even the maids and people at the bottom to see how they are doing, if they have what they need, etc.
DJT never forgot that all of those employees made it possible for him to become rich and famous. People like Jeff Bezos seems to only care about profits and not about his employees but if his employees went on a massive worldwide strike then what would his Mr Richest Man on the planet do?
