I just realized that after talking to my neighbors. One is a businessman that got the vax because he needs to travel on airlines and the other neighbor is a school teacher and you already know how school teachers are. They looked at me like there was something wrong with me because I wasn't getting the vax and I was so adamant about it. Did I mention that these people are both members of the same church I go to?

I get surprised when I encounter the amount of deception within the church... then when I read my Bible and 1/4 of it (what seems like it at least) is all warning about deception and false teaching, then I am not surprised.. Actually, I am getting more surprised that I, myself, even get surprised anymore (hope that makes sense). I don't want to be hard hearted with them, but it just pains me a bit so see how covid is becoming what almost seems like idol worship... and I'm shocked by the amount of fear I witness within the church. TBH, I'm ready to go... now. But I know the Lord has work for all of us to do and this world is the worst it will ever be for those who are saved... Unfortunately, this world is the best it will ever get for all of those who are unsaved.
The E-Mask-U-Lated!
Thank you for posting this, especially church friend. In our small Bible dstudy were doing Romans and I had the privilege of teaching chapter 1. I emphasized that Paul emphasized that we're either slaves to God or to the pagan world. I was hoping they'd see but....In a deep blue city like mine I guess they go along to get along. I have 1 ally in the group as baffled as I am. I said to her, "What news are they reading?" Alas. I'll stick with 'the good news.'
They have their rituals too (hand sanitizing, buying designer masks, using contact tracing software). It really shows how conforming so many people are.
If someone's already jabbed, there's nothing that you can do. Then, when they suggest the jab to me, I tell them I don't engage in beta testing of anything, software, cars, medical vaccines, etc., and that I am perfectly happy to 'wait and see' since there is apparently no limit to available jab materials in this country (US). Afterwards, when they seem to think their job is to convince me to fall in line, I tell them I don't follow politics and won't discuss religion, and if Grandma wears her mask, she should be safe from me. Saves loads of time because I clearly know where they stand, and they definitely aren't on the fence about this stuff. It also might have saved some friendships for me to play ignorant of the whole matter. I don't have time for their BS. They've put their life where their mouth is, I'm never going to convince them to admit they were foolish to take the vax so soon for a virus with such a high recovery rate. (My brother and his family are vaxxed as of May 1. I banged my head against the wall for several weeks with him - no luck. I give up. Do what you want. and I will too.)
